Nicole and Greg’s Engagement Session at The Wharf in D.C.

Nicole and Greg are such a fun couple. They chose to have their engagement session at The Wharf in D.C.! We had so much fun, in particular because this area of the city has special meaning for them both. They met in March of 2021, and they were both looking for their “forever” love. Their first date was actually at the Mi Vida restaurant at The Wharf. This is also one of the places we took some of their photos. When Nicole and Greg met for their first date, it actually ended being St. Patrick’s Day. Nicole ended up being late, and Greg said he didn’t mind. However, Greg later said he actually did and has never let Nicole forget it.

An Engagement Session at The Wharf

After dinner, the date continued at Whiskey Charlie. By the end of the night, Greg knew that Nicole was the one. However, it actually took Nicole a few more dates to have the same realization. When they got engaged earlier this year in January, Greg lied to Nicole about a lot of things that night. Nicole thought that they were going to taste some free food at the hotel that they were looking at for their future wedding and then go ice skating.

Little did Nicole know that Greg had a plan the entire time. Her took her to the venue and proposed to her in the same room that they will be getting married in August! All of Greg and Nicole’s close friends were there to witness the event, along with more friends and family celebrating via Zoom. Greg ended up crying, but Nicole was in a constant state of shock!

Nicole and Greg enjoy doing so many things together as a couple. They are super chill, relaxed couple who loves a good laugh. They enjoy being outdoors and taking adventures. However, they are also romantic and artsy. They both enjoy taking naps after all of their fun activities!

Their wedding at The Intercontinental Hotel at The Wharf in August is going to be so beautiful! Congratulations Nicole and Greg! I can’t wait to shoot your summer wedding!

Choosing A Micro Wedding Venue Having had a micro wedding myself almost ten years ago, I can speak to the intimacy and intention you face when planning. Wedding Tips

One of my favorite traditions for brides are bridal portraits! They’re such a special memory for brides and a great way to capture all of the little details that make your bridal look, well, YOU! Although we always make time for portraits of the bride (and groom!) on your wedding day, a bridal session is […]
