National Museum of African American History and Culture Engagement Photos| Ky’Eisha + Jessica

women smile at each other during DC wedding portraits at National Museum of African American History and Culture

Congratulations to Ky’Eisha and Jessica! After a chance meeting through Ky’Eisha’s mentor, these two newlyweds found their forever in each other. Their love story is a reminder to me every day that God will always bring the people we need in our lives to us. The day of our session, Ky’Eisha and Jessica were married at the Supreme Court with their closest friends and family. We had a great time celebrating them at the National Museum of African American History and Culture with these DC wedding portraits. I’m so honored these two beautiful women trusted me to capture this special moment in their lives.

Their Love Story

Like I mentioned, Ky’Eisha and Jessica met while Ky’Eisha was on U Street visiting her best friend/mentee from college. While she was on the way, her mentee mentioned that she was with hwr best friend and that Ky’Eisha should still join them. Little did she know, she’d be meeting the love of her life that night! Upon meeting, it was shared that Jessica is a lawyer too. Although Ky’Eisha may have blurted out that prosecutors are gross (she’s a Civil Rights Attorney), everything wound up working out anyway!

Throughout the night, Jessica would tell anyone who tried to hit on her that Ky’Eisha was her partner, but Ky’Eisha wasn’t really thinking much about it. After confirming later on that she was indeed interested in her, the two began to really hit it off. While she was staying in town, the two realized they had something special! Ky’Eisha asked Jessica to stay a few days longer and she did. It was then they both knew this was it.

DC Wedding Portraits

A few hours before our session, Ky’eisha and Jessica were married in an intimate ceremony at the Supreme Court. From the moment I saw them, I knew it was going to be a beautiful session. Their energy is just SO pure and genuine. They’re SO so happy together and everything just flowed for us. My favorite thing about working with these lovebirds was how natural our conversation flowed and how they effortlessly fell into the most authentic poses with very little direction. Ky’eisha and Jessica are simply stunning. Thank you again for hanging out with me and commemorating your wedding day with these beautiful DC wedding portraits!
