Howard University Freshman Portraits with DC Senior Portrait Photographer

freshman stands between wrought iron gates at Howard University

These Howard University freshman portraits for Jordan were so much fun to capture (even if I am a Hampton graduate myself!). When Jordan reached out to me about doing portraits at her new home, Howard University, I was really excited for her. I had photographed her senior portraits from high school and so to be able to follow her to the next stop on her journey was a wonderful moment for me. This session was just all about the excitement of being a college freshman and it really couldn’t have been more fun!

Howard University Freshman Portraits

Although I joked on Instagram a few hours before our session that I should show up in my Hampton University paraphernalia, I was so excited to arrive on campus and find Jordan. Howard University truly has some beautiful spots and this was a great way to document the start of Jordan’s journey here. With both classic and playful outfits, Jordan broke the tradition of only capturing portraits when you’re a senior – and I loved it all. She looks so happy and so confident. I can’t wait to hear how her time at HU goes!

I am so honored to have clients that trust me to capture their biggest moments – from high school graduation to starting somewhere new, I hope to be with Jordan for many years to come. Maybe even photograph her wedding one day! No matter what the moment is that you’re celebrating, I want to be there with you to document it all. Jordan, thank you for trusting me with your big moments! I’m SO happy for you!
