How sweet are Christian and Michael? This beautiful couple has been together since 2017, after meeting at a Marvin’s in D.C for their first date. They’ve spent the last few years enjoying each other while exploring the city, finding the best places to eat, and building a small family with their sweet pups! Christian and Michael got engaged last Christmas after Michael received a blessing from Christian’s dad and brother. Michael hung an ornament with their names and “Will You Marry Me?” on the tree and had Christian look for it. While she was finding it, he got down on one knee to finish asking her the question! Now, they’re planning their wedding and making everything official! We met up recently for their Kennedy Center engagement portraits and I’m so excited to be sharing it with you today!
Kennedy Center Engagement Portraits
I love photographing sessions at the Kennedy Center because it’s easy to get a variety of looks in a little bit of space. Between the architecture and outdoor garden spaces, it’s like a playground for photographers. Christian and Michael began their session with a classic and stylish look, including a long burgundy gown for Christian. She looked incredible!! Their more formal outfits looked great against the front walkway of the Kennedy Center. After changing into something more casual, we headed up to the balcony for some beautiful views of DC. It was great to chat with Christian and Michael, learning more about them and their love story.
I can’t wait for their wedding day, and I know they can’t either. When I asked this sweet couple what they were most looking forward to, they told me that they couldn’t wait to bring their families together – and to pick out all of the fun outfits! Congratulations again, Christian and Michael. I had so much fun with you both!
