One of the best parts about being a wedding photographer in Washington DC is the chance to capture memories for my clients. And not just on their wedding day. Your journey to the aisle is so much more than one engagement session and a few days of planning. That journey spans months and so many different people in your life. I love when I have the opportunity to capture other parts of that journey for my couples. Moments like engagement sessions or bridal showers are so much fun! When Pabvon’s friends reached out about having me capture their Maryland bridal shower, I couldn’t say yes fast enough!

Not only did Pabvon’s friends want to celebrate her journey from Miss to Mrs., but they were just happy to be able to get together safely! It was the first time many of them had been together for months and the bridal shower was the perfect chance to celebrate. The entire party was DIY and it was just incredible!! The decor and food were amazing – they definitely pulled out all the stops for Pabvon! And she was so surprised when she arrived!

Not only was it fun to document, but I just loved being around all of these women. We’re all graduates of HBCU’s and it was great to connect. They all went to Howard University and I’m a Hampton University grad, so we joked about who’s the “real HU” the whole time. It was so much fun! I know they can’t wait for Pabvon to be a married lady and are looking forward to her wedding. It will be so good to see everyone again at their Lake Presidential Golf Course wedding in Upper Marlboro, MD later this month! Congratulations again, Pabvon!!
