As a photographer in the Washington DC area, it’s no surprise that being able to express myself creatively is an outlet for me and my energy. When I get the chance to be super creative for shoots, it doesn’t feel like work at all. Honestly, I really love to be able to think about the colors, designs, shapes, and feelings I want to evoke with my images. It gets me really excited to pick up my camera – and a little anxious too, because I always want my clients to love whatever we’ve created in the end. I truly believe it’s important to do what helps restore your soul – creative rest, included. That’s why I’m SO excited to be sharing Allison’s spring maternity portraits with you today. I loved designing this session for her and her family!
Spring Maternity Portraits with Washington DC Maternity Photographer
When Allison reached out to me about her spring maternity portraits, she wanted to keep things super simple. Which I totally understand. As we got talking, I began to get a design in my head that had flowers, a couch, and a gorgeous colored maternity gown. I shared my ideas with Allison and she wasn’t too sure. She felt like it was going to be too much! But, I asked if she wanted to try – it’s my area of expertise after all – and she agreed. With the green light, I got to work finalizing the designs for her beautiful creative maternity portraits.
As the day of the shoot arrived, I was SO excited to see what she had to say. And she loved it. I’m so happy that I was able to capture these stunning creative spring maternity portraits with a beautiful floral arbor for her and her family. Thank you Allison, for trusting me – both to capture your special moments and to create something beautiful. If you’re expecting this year and want to have your own creative and unique maternity session, let’s talk!
