Bunmi and Bisi are engaged!! Fun fact: Bunmi and Bisi actually booked me before they were ever engaged! That was such an incredible feeling for me! These two were only officially engaged the day before our session, so it was definitely an exciting day for them to celebrate right away. They met because of Bunmi’s mother, she gave him Bisi’s number and for their first date, Bunmi flew out to Michigan to see Bisi after talking on the phone. Before they knew it, something special was happening between them.
And now, they’re planning their dream wedding day together! Their relationship has been a bit of a whirlwind, in the best way possible. I loved hearing about it during our Kennedy Center engagement session here in Washington DC. Bunmi and Bisi have an incredible connection you don’t see every day!
Kennedy Center Engagement Session
One of the most awesome parts of being a Washington DC wedding photographer is simply the amount of gorgeous locations at my finger tips all year long. I was so excited when Bunmi and Bisi mentioned they were interested in a session at the Kennedy Center. It’s a beautiful spot with gorgeous views on the top level. And we lucked out, the day of their engagement portraits, we had a stunning sunset! These two showed up ready to go with the perfect outfits and the best attitudes. I love when my couples are just excited to talk and hang out, it makes everything more fun. Bisi also loved showing off her black diamond ring – it was SO unique. I am still pretty obsessed with it myself!
