The city of Washington, D.C. never ceases to amaze me! There is always a gorgeous location for an engagement session, especially in the spring. Even though the D.C. area is filled with beautiful and historical sites, it’s the couple that makes the session!
D.C. Spring Engagement Session
Taylor and Chernor came dressed to the nines for their photo session! As they were posing and walking, you could tell how much they love laughing and being together. The Smithsonian offers some gorgeous views, especially with the epic columns and long outdoor walkways. Shooting here makes it so easy for my couples to look their best!
One of the ways I make sure my couples have the best client experience is sending them an engagement guide. It helps them prep before their session. My guide goes over everything from what to wear, how I will pose you during the session, and a reminder to make sure your engagement ring is cleaned. I also provide my couples with a vendor list for hair and makeup recommendations. After shooting lots of weddings, I have worked with some of the best vendors in the Washington, D.C. area and I know that they do a great job.
Doing a trial run with hair and makeup is a great way to see what you would look like on your wedding day. I encourage my couples to have fun with their engagement guide. I also tell my clients to make a dinner reservation for after their session. It’s the perfect time for a date when you’re already dressed up from your session!
In addition to taking photos of my couples together, I always make sure to take photos of each person as well. When your couple looks this gorgeous, you want to show off what they’re wearing! Congratulations, Taylor and Chernor! I can’t wait to shoot your wedding in October! Are you newly engaged and ready to celebrate with a photo session? Be sure to contact me so we can start planning!
