Zitel and James are married! They had the most elegant microwedding in Baltimore, MD this year and I’m so honored I was able to capture it for them. After meeting in 2014 during a church conference while watching the World Cup, Zitel reached out to James when Germany won and they began chatting more often. Before they knew it, a friendship had formed and it quickly became something more.

While visiting Zitel’s family in June 2020, James popped the question. He told Zitel he needed something in his hotel room and asked her to come to by. When she arrived, she realized it was a rouse! He had the room all decked out and got down on one knee, asking her to marry him. How sweet is that?! Now, they’re husband and wife and I’m so obsessed with their elegant Baltimore microwedding.

Elegant Baltimore Microwedding

After the last year, microweddings have become very popular. For many couples planning (and those attending the events), it’s a common misconception that these small events are going to be lacking in decor or designs, like bigger events might have. But, they couldn’t be more wrong! For many couples, the smaller guest list allows them to choose where to put their budget. No matter the size, microweddings can still be elaborate and full of incredible decor. Zitel and James’ day was definitely elegant and elaborate. They certainly mastered the idea of what a microwedding can become!!

From the moment I arrived, I knew their Maryland wedding was going to be so classy and just beautiful. I was right! Zitel and James decided to have a first touch before their ceremony, but not actually see each other. It made their intimate ceremony at Citron Restaurant even more special. After some portrait time with a stunning classic car, Zitel and James headed into their reception to meet with their guests. Just wait until you see the florals around their sweetheart table! I’m telling you, they truly leaned into the elaborate mcirowedding idea!

Congratulations Zitel and James! I hope you enjoyed your incredible wedding (I know I did!). I wish you both nothing but love and happiness on your journey together!
